New Groups Arise from Community Survey Results

The 2025 Monroe Community Survey provided helpful feedback on Town Communication & Services, Recreation, Education, Environment & Natural Resources, Land Use & Zoning, and more. Some survey questions were clearly favored by the majority of respondents, while others were a starting point for much larger conversations, including the future of the Monroe Elementary School. A new Focus Group has formed to address these questions and will be meeting on the dates below. Contact Grace Jacobs at gsjacobs.61@gmail.com with any questions.

The majority of survey respondents also indicated that they would like the Town to have a comprehensive plan, and attendees of the March 29, 2025 Open House echoed the same sentiment. The Select Board has since expressed a renewed interest in moving forward with a comprehensive plan and a committee is currently being assembled to meet this goal. A preliminary meeting is scheduled for May 29, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Monroe Town Hall. Contact Lyndsey Marston at lyndseymarston@gmail.com or 207-852-9570 with any questions.
